NPLHome is a controller for the Date Protection of its clients.
What personal data is processed in the first instance?
- Name
- Address
- Email address
- Phone number
If you engage our services the following data will be required:
- Citizenship status (UK citizen?)
- Proof of funds
- Passport/driving licence details
- Job title
- Profession
In addition:
- Information about your preferences and interests, particularly when discussing a search criteria brief.
- Information about your profession including job title.
- Information about schools that your children attend in order to determine the right location for you.
- Information about you or your family where necessary to perform a contract with you.
- Information about your identity, where required by law (e.g. AML regulations) in the form of photographic identification (such as a passport, a driving licence and/or visa) and proof of residence (such as a recent utility bill).
- Where we are working alongside third parties such as solicitors, developers or agents, we may need to share these documents on the basis of consent.
- If we are dealing with an entity such as a company, trust or charity, we may need to obtain personal information of the beneficiaries / interested party(s) of the entity and those in a position of control. This will include, but is not limited to, identity and address documents.
- Information about appointed authorised party(s) / Power of Attorney where you have requested we liaise with them on your behalf.
What procedures are in place for the protection of personal data in the use of mobile devices used in the course of business?
- WhatsApp is used to communicate with our clients, only with their prior consent. This is so we can communicate swiftly and effectively with our contacts. We use WhatsApp to send photographs and videos of shortlisted properties to our clients that are a best fit with their requirements. The photographs and videos are taken with the owner’s consent.
- WhatsApp does gain access to ‘metadata’ created during the communication process (e.g. sender, recipient and time details) and WhatsApp has disclosed it shares personal data of its users with its U.S. based parent company Facebook.
- The information exchanged with our contacts on WhatsApp shall remain with us until you ask us to delete the data, revoke your consent to the archiving of the data, or if the purpose for which the information is being processed no longer exists. This shall be without prejudice to any mandatory legal provisions, in particular retention periods.

Do you have IT policies and procedures for the protection of personal data for personal purposes?
- Emails and documents are stored with Microsoft
How long do we keep our clients’ personal data?
- Only as long as it is required to enable us to provide the best service for our clients. Once our client’s search has come to a successful end, personal information will be securely deleted.
- Clients’ personal data is only shared with third parties such as estate agents, solicitors, surveyors, with our clients prior verbal or written consent.
